Patewood Memorial Hospital was designed to be  patient-centric and based upon Planetree principles which focus personalizing and demystifying the healthcare experience and creating patient-centered care in healing environments. The Planetree model empowers patients and families through information and education and encourages "healing partnerships" with caregivers. The hospital itself is healing by allowing plenty of natural light, outdoor spaces and a calming atmosphere.

To that end we offer some special services for our patients including:

  • Favorite snacks and drinks available in your room
  • Gourmet food for your stay
• Discounted rates at area hotels for out of town patients and families
  • For those patients coming from out of town, Greenville Hospital System has worked to secure special discounted rates at area hotels.  - Look left for more info.
• The Cottages at Brushy Creek for those patients not ready to be discharged to their home.
  • A unique nursing facility provides home-like accommodation for patients and residents.  Individual houses for twelve patients each built around an open center area which encourages interactions and participation in daily house activities.
  • For our joint patients, we've arranged to have space for those who need some additional recovery time prior to going home.  It's a much more pleasant space than traditional nursing facitlies and encourages healing.
